The In Gate Balmoral Bridle™ with Laced Reins

Designed for the hunter ring and handmade in England, the Balmoral Bridle combines the refined proportions of The In Gate’s Coronation Collection with discreet, integrated blinders designed to reduce peripheral visual distraction.

Jimmy Sardelli developed the Balmoral Bridle with Traci and Carleton Brooks of Balmoral Farm, drawing on their experience with hunter horses and the practical need for a bridle that could incorporate blinders without disrupting the clean, traditional look expected in the ring.

For riders who demand exceptional tack, the difference begins with our leather. Aniline finishing requires exceptionally high-grade full- or top-grain hides because blemishes cannot be concealed beneath an opaque pigmented surface. We select European hides to meet this demanding standard, with only a small percentage of those evaluated qualifying for our collection. Our leather is finished in Walsall, England, before being entrusted to our English bridlemaker.

The hidden blinders are incorporated discreetly into the cheek pieces so that the bridle’s overall appearance remains refined and balanced. A matching set of traditional cheek pieces is also included and can be easily swapped in for conformation classes or anytime the blinders are not needed. This allows the same bridle to transition easily between uses while maintaining a consistent look and fit.

A broad, low-profile noseband and minimalist browband complement the horse rather than overpowering the head, and matching laced leather reins are included.

Each Balmoral Bridle is handmade in England by our English bridlemaker.
